Invest North Macedonia takes part in the fair in Hanover, starting from April 1st to April 5th, with the support of domestic companies, for their participation in the largest industrial fair HANNOVER MESSE 2019.

Within the national stand and under the Invest North Macedonia logo, six Macedonian companies in the field of electrical metal industry have the opportunity to present their products and organize meetings with other participants at the fair. The German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Prime Minister of Sweden addressed the opening of the fair.

HANNOVER MESSE 2019 is a set of six fairs on one platform. At the largest industrial fair in the world, with 6500 exhibitors from around the world on more than 200 000 m2, 15 companies from the Balkans took part, of which 6 are our domestic companies. HANNOVER MESSE is an ideal place for networking and new business.

The CEO of Invest North Macedonia, Mr. Vullnet Ademi, held interviews and meetings with representatives of domestic and foreign media, where he especially emphasized the role of the Agency in organizing and supporting domestic companies for participation in renowned world trade fairs from different industries, as well as for the current and future projects of the Agency in the area of ​​attracting foreign investments and including supporting the export of domestic companies.

In addition, the CEO met with companies from different industries present at the fair and stressed the readiness and support for increasing the cooperation between domestic companies and companies in the region, especially German companies, European companies and companies from China.

Within the fair, B2B meetings were held between all registered companies with previously organized meetings, in order to increase the cooperation in direction of increased exports, expanding business contacts with the companies - potential export partners in the EU countries, as well as meetings with many European companies and companies from China.

Our domestic companies will have the opportunity to find a full range of technical innovations across the entire value chain - from automation to supplier solutions, which involve many key decision makers.

Invest North Macedonia will continue offering programs to support domestic companies in international markets, as well as organized participation in international fairs.

Invest Macedonia starts with direct cooperation with the World Bank team to implement measures and strengthen the capacities for running a campaign for investment promotion. In this regard, the teams from both sides will discuss and work on the broad framework for planning and implementing a campaign for promotion of investment opportunities in front of potential investors in Macedonia.

This cooperation is especially important for better implementation of the concept for attracting FDI, as well as for selecting target sectors on the Macedonian market, identifying the existing resources for investing in Macedonia, recognizing the weaknesses in the process and facilitating it, introducing new principles in work and time frame for realization, assessment of needs for planning and implementation of a campaign for representation before investors, agreeing on a temporary schedule for planning and implementation of field campaigns, as well as the specific support that the World Bank team should undertake during this activity.
This is a great opportunity for the Invest Macedonia team to strengthen their own capacities and opportunities for attracting foreign direct investments as the primary activity of the institution.

Invest Macedonia presented the investment potentials of Macedonia, as well as the favorable business climate for starting and doing a business in front of a business delegation from Turkey from the Macedonian-Turkish Business Council within the framework of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Committee (DEIK).The business forum was held in the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce.

Macedonian and Turkish companies presented potential opportunities for cooperation, as well as an opportunity for starting a new business.
Turkish businessmen already target the potential for cooperation in the metal industry and energy, construction, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals and tourism. Turkish companies as investors are present in a significant number in the country in the banking sector, construction, traffic, medicine, tourism.

As a conclusion of the meeting it was pointed out that Macedonia could be the starting point for the development of Turkish businesses and investments in the entire region, also that Turkey is important for Macedonia as the first destination through which it can penetrate the markets in the countries of the Middle East.

In addition to the business meeting, activities are planned as a direct visit to companies with Turkish capital, as well as meetings with government officials in order to increase the cooperation and open new opportunities for connecting companies and businesses between the two countries.

The total trade between Turkey and Macedonia in 2018 increased by 14.5% compared to 2017. Exports increased by 8.5%, while imports in 2018 increased by 15.9% compared to 2017. Last year, Turkey is the eighth trading partner in the foreign trade of the Republic of Macedonia.

This meeting is the basis for increasing the economic cooperation and encouraging the investment activities between the two countries, besides there are many similarities in the culture and tradition of the countries, hence there is a good basis for deepening another type of cooperation between both countries.
