The Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of the Republic of Macedonia, in cooperation with the Fund for Innovation and technological development of Macedonia, for the project to promote  domestic companies to economic promoters, organized the eight interactive online video presentations of domestic companies to economic promoters.

On  May 10th 2017, six companies supported by the Fund for innovation and technological development participated in short video meetings with the economic promoters.

Companies that participated are VapourApps, Daris Engineering LTD, DTK Smart-tech, Marjanovic Education, Prime Apps LLC and Click Technologies LLC Kavadarci. They further submitted catalogs, promotional materials and presentations electronically to economic promoters and expect to establish cooperation with companies from countries where economic promoters are appointed.

The presentations of the companies to the economic promoters was part of the project "Online video meetings with citizens and companies" which is organized quarterly in the premises of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of the Republic of Macedonia.

Today In dialogue with Scoutbee, a German platform for suppliers and purchasers, the Agency for foreign investments and export promotion of the Republic of Macedonia trough its economic promoter in Hamburgorganized the first joint video conference for the members of MAMEI (Macedonian Association of Metal and Electronic Industry).

The meeting consisting of  general presentations of the Scoutbee platform, its methodology of operations and on the other side, overview of the capacities of the member companies of MAMEI, also discussing the ways forward in relation to future joint activities. By becoming a member of the Scoutbee platform, member companies of MAMEI are to be provided with direct access to requests for quotations made by the large German and International companies that are on the lookout for qualified suppliers and therefore can acquire new manufacturing contracts and extend their export activities.

Advantages of on-line meetings: added value to the Macedonian industry by providing new possibilities not only for its development but also to get closer to the mainstream innovative practices, that way building a steady portfolio of a maybe small, but Europe-wise relevant industry player.

On 29th of October in Copenhagen were organized two different events of Macedonian Wine Tasting.

The events were organized by Invest Macedonia (by its representative in Copenhagen, Ms. Mirjana Naumoska) and the Association of wines “Wines of Macedonia” in aim to increase the business cooperation between both countries and to assist the Macedonian Wineries to enter on the Danish market.

On the first B2B event, nine wineries from Macedonia had the opportunity to hold business meetings with more than 100 importers, restaurants and journalists.

The second event held the same day on 29th of October was organized by Invest Macedonia and Copenhagen International Rotary Club supported by the Association “Wines of Macedonia”

This B2C event was also very successful attended by more than 100 representatives from the business sector, ambassadors and other representatives from the diplomatic corps.

The event was organized in order to promote Macedonia in general, create awareness for Macedonian wine to the final consumer and will help to increase the sales of wines already present on the Danish market.

On 28th of October at the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce was held an event- B2B meetings between Macedonian and Serbian companies at which participated more than 20 companies in the textile and leather industry.

The event was organized by the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export promotion of the Republic of Macedonia in cooperation with economic promoter in Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia and Serbia.

With its export orientation, the Macedonian textile industry has an important role in addressing the urgent problem of the Macedonian economy - unemployment.

The textiles, clothing and footwear is one of the most important export sectors of our country, with

- Total exports of EUR 400 million and share in industrial exports 25%

- Participation in the Macedonian GDP by 15%

- Participation in the total industrial employment of 28%;

Currently, Macedonia and Serbia are flexible manufacturers of clothing and textiles. Local companies develop production program aimed at specific market threads of international markets where demand is characterized by a preference for small batches clothing with a complex design. At the same time, Macedonian and Serbian companies are directed more towards the middle and high price segment of the European textile market. One of the main advantages that will continue to be exploited is the ability for rapid delivery of small batches to the European market.

Long term goal of the Macedonian and Serbian companies should be a strategic partnership to textile companies for joint participation in international markets, mutually product development and brand and sales in Macedonian and Serbian finished products to the neighboring market - fashion clothing brands with a higher percentage value added.
